Shane Hammond
President and CEO
TRX, Inc.


Shane Hammond is the President and CEO of TRX. He joined TRX in October 2002 as Client Partner to lead strategic client relationships and was promoted to Vice President, Client Services in December 2003 and later to Executive Vice President in April 2005. In his role as Executive Vice President, he launched a company-wide, qualitative approach to TRX client relationship management and instilled numerous sales and marketing rigors in place today.  In January 2007, he was appointed President of RESX Technologies leading the overall management, product development and delivery of TRX online booking and peripheral applications on a global basis.
 
Before TRX, Shane spent four years with Maritz Travel Company in a variety of sales and client relationship roles. He later went on to serve as Vice President for Carlson Wagonlit XTS, one of the country’s largest independently-owned travel management firms in the United States. He then served six years as President & Partner at the firm managing all operational, marketing and personnel activities with an emphasis on new business development and strategic planning.
 
Shane serves on The NBTA Foundation's Industry Advisory Council (IAC), acting as a member of the Foundation's "think tank" to identify new ideas and projects to help further advance the business travel industry. He is also active in the Exchange Clubs of America, an organization of men and women working together to make our communities better places to live through service programs, including its national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse. He earned both a bachelor's degree and an MBA from Texas Tech University.
