ATLANTA, 18 February 2008 — TRX, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRXI), a global technology company that develops and hosts software applications to process data records and automate manual processes, today announced the appointment of Scott Gillespie to Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, to focus on major new business opportunities in travel data for TRX.

Gillespie will be leading the market research and business modeling efforts for the TRX data-related products. The market research is underway with outreach to travel suppliers, travel agencies, corporate buyers, payment providers, and industry groups. Gillespie is joined in his market outreach efforts by Susan Hopley, Executive Vice President, Emerging Markets, and Greeley Koch, Vice President, Corporate Solutions.

"Scott's new role places the right emphasis on the execution of significant new business opportunities to transform travel data into valuable information," said TRX President and CEO, Trip Davis. "Scott is one of the brightest minds in the world on the topic of travel data, and we are keen to meet with and collaborate with industry partners and clients to continue our relentless focus on data technology and actionable insights."

"I am thrilled to lead this important initiative for TRX," said Scott Gillespie, Vice President, Strategic Initiatives. "TRX is well positioned to help the industry capitalize on the value of travel data. We will continue reaching out to many folks throughout the industry to ensure we are addressing the tough problems that need resolution."

To succeed Gillespie, Kristie Beck has been promoted to Senior Director, TRX Travel Analytics. Beck joined TRX in July 2007 as a Director in the Travel Analytics group. She gains general management responsibility for the strategic development and client delivery to ensure continued innovation, consistency, and growth in TRX's corporate travel analytics business. Beck brings strong leadership skills and industry expertise, having served in procurement roles at American Airlines, and at Aeroexchange, an airline IT and sourcing consultancy. TRX Travel Analytics is an independent, unbiased, and objective service provider focused solely on the client's best interests, providing clients tangible value. World class savings results are achieved by using deep category expertise, patent-pending analytical methods and powerful modeling tools.

"Under Scott's direction, TRX Travel Analytics has earned an excellent reputation for providing high quality, innovative and objective analytics that serve the dynamic needs of corporate travel programs and deliver real business value to our clients," said Kristie Beck.
